Impressions of CBAAC
The Centre has in the past played host to visiting Heads of State, members of the Diplomatic Corps, eminent Nigerians etc. Below are comments from a few of such visitors.

Highly honoured and tremendously inspired by the award given by the Centre.

- Nelson Mandela (South African)

This Centre symbolizes, not only the plurality of African culture, but unity in that plurality. It has the important task of not only preserving African culture, bu~ projecting it.

Everything must therefore be done to support the Centre so that it can continue to fulfill this important role.

The search for the African personality is an important aspect of the development of our continent in today's world.

That personality cannot be isolated from our humanity.

Therefore, the Centre must never lose sight of this aspect of it's existence" .

- Prof. L. K. H. Goma (Zambian)

I have been very much impressed by the level of organization of this Centre. My delegation and myself take this opportunity to congratulate the Board and Management of this Centre for giving us the opportunity to see some ofthe realities of the African arts and culture. I wish you all the best in the service of Africa ".
-   Afonso Vav Dumen Binda (Angolan)

It is unbelievable that such treasures of African and Black culture exist here. I hope that more Nigerians and indeed Africans would be made aware of this. This should be our immediate goal. It has been a rewarding visit".
- Lt. Col. A. S. I. Ukpo. (Nigerian)

A splendid impresive collection
- Hana Evan (Australian)

I am proud, happy and grateful that so much materials of permanent value have been preserved from Festac '77".
-   Prof. J. F. AdeAjayi (Nigerian)

This is a wonderful collection showing the attainment of the Black race. It is a symbol of hope and Africans should be made aware ofthe contributions of our ancestors to our life and existence. We should popularise the motives so that our technology, industry, education etc. can be grounded in culture".
-   Dr. J. A. A. Ayoade (Nigerian)

Culture is the symbol of a people's life and ways. This is the centre manifesting our culture and therefore ourselves, what we are. It also therefore embodies what we can be. We must therefore come here for Discovery or Re-Discovery".
-   Prince Tony Momoh (Nigerian)

A very impressive and much needed collection. It speaks well for black culture and its recognition in the rest of the world".
- Kate Aida us (British)
